A 2024 Refresh for Cynthia In The Wild!

As I settle into the new year, I’m thinking a lot more about what I want out of this upcoming year. And a little bit beyond. What do I want the next few years to look like? And then where do I want to go from there?

One of my goals for 2024 is to get closer to switching to part-time at my full-time, 9-5 job. I like the stability that follows a 9-5 and (not to sound super up my own you-know-what) but I also have really good job security.

So one of my goals is to grow my content through this blog and my YouTube channel to be able to reduce my day job hours. And eventually start my own business to replace my day job completely, but I’m getting a little ahead of myself.

So what does that have to do with this refresh announcement?

The Ins and Outs

First, a lot. Here’s the ins and outs of my blog for 2024:

Ins –

  • Expanding the topics I write about because I love more than just books
  • Welcoming change
  • Being more open about my content journey
  • Helping you grow without the self-help books
  • Creating a community

Outs –

  • Self-doubt about my content
  • Niching too far down
  • Not putting myself out there
  • Limiting my earning potential
  • Not fully believing in myself

And honestly? I’m so excited!

What content to expect?

Here are a few topics you can expect on the blog:

  • Regular book content
  • Healthy productivity
  • Routines & Habits
  • Lifestyle chats
  • Things I am loving lately
  • How my content is growing/my plans for my content

I like to think of my little blog as a crossroad between literature, productivity, and lifestyle.

But I don’t really read self-help books. I love fiction way too much. And I don’t believe in hustle culture anymore, I want to work hard as often as I do rest. And I want to share the things I love at different seasons in my life with you.

To connect with you and nurture a community of like-minded people.

So with that being said

My word for 2024 is release and this refresh feels like me releasing all of the pressure I put on myself. The fear of being seen. The anxiety from not knowing if this revamp will help or completely blow up in my face a few months from now.

Either way, I release the thoughts that make me think I can’t do this.

I truly believe that this year is going to be the year where Cynthia In The Wild brands herself and finds her true voice. (Yes, I gave my blog a gender.)

Lastly, I’m also on YouTube now! So if you want to get to know me, check out some of my vlogs over there. I also publish my bookish content and with time, some healthy productivity videos as well.

If you found my blog in 2023, I was just getting started. Books seemed like the easiest and safest place to start. And while I will always love writing about books, I’m ready to slow down a bit. Write about different content. And expand the blog for more opportunities.

So thank you. Thank you for being here. For sticking around. Thank you for stopping by even just once.

I’m not going to get where I want to be solely on my own.

I hope you’re looking forward to this upcoming change as much as I am!
