I recently finished my second re-read of the A Court of Thorns and Roses, and I stopped at A Court of Wings and Ruin. This wasn’t an accident. It was a choice. ACOTAR is my roman empire. The Folk of Air series by Holly Black is a trilogy consisting of The Cruel Prince, The Wicked King, and The Queen of Nothing.  This trilogy can be compared to a very YA Fantasy Romance series full of intrigue, danger, and a ton of coming-of-age tropes thrown in.  I will admit, I did not love the introduction we get with this series. The Legends of Thezmarr is a four book, epic fantasy romance series. Starring our main character Thea, her leading love interest Wilder, and a various but thrillingly hilarious cast of side characters.  I do also want to preface the recommended reading order of this book, as the third and fourth book are a bit spoilerish without having read Slaying The Shadow Prince, which is a story that focuses on Talemir, Wilder’s mentor.  Recommended reading order: If you’re not interesting in reading Slaying The Shadow Prince, feel free to skip it and stick to the original four books in the series.
