Quarter Year Reset + Review – Autumn 2024

As the summer heat dissipates into a cool, autumnal breeze, I am more excited than ever for the changing of the seasons.

Like most people, autumn is one of my favorite seasons of the year. Spring follows in a close second. Winter and summer tend to be too harsh in the hot/cold department for me to really enjoy myself.

I will also say that Summer 2024 has been one of my worst summer’s by far.

So going into the last quarter of the year, I am very much looking forward to slowing down and resetting.

Q2 + Q3 Review

I didn’t do a Q3 post because I was feeling so overwhelmed. But coming out of Q2, my main focuses were on my health, content, and finances.

Truthfully, I think I just bit off more than I could chew. I fell off track so many times with all 3 of those goals.

And then, going into Q3, my day job took such a bad turn. My workload doubled and things just kept getting more and more stressful.

I genuinely thought the universe was trying to show me it was time to leave my job, but we’re not there quite yet. So while things have improved slightly, I’m ready to set more realistic goals and also slow down and get ready to make some big changes in my life.

Q4 Goals

A big theme of my reset going into Q4 is to slow down.

As I mentioned earlier, work has been ridiculously stressful and I am ready to prioritize rest.

My goals are very simple, going into Q4:

  • Prioritize rest
  • Consistently exercise/post content

And that’s it.

Wrap Up

I think I have spent far more than 2024 pushing myself to do more. When really, I just needed to accept that not every day was going to be productive.

I don’t fault myself for having big goals, but I let the weight of my goals lead me to burnout. By not prioritizing my health and allowing other stressors to push me over the edge.

And like I hinted, I have a lot to look forward to. The holidays will be the perfect time to do a soft life reset.

Slow down and refocus. Get back to my original goals while also re-building the habits I need to be consistent.

And most importantly, listening to my body. Resting when I need to rest, but also being disciplined enough to do the things that are important to me.

Personally, I’m very excited for a new year to start. I don’t know where 2025 is going to take me, but I am determined to end 2024 on a better note. I’m also looking forward to getting back to my quarterly resets regularly. Here’s my Q2 reset!

So, how about you? What are your end-of-year goals?
