Upcoming Book Releases I’m Excited For

Lately, I haven’t been reading as actively as I’d like to be. 

Life has been full, and while I always keep books close, I’ve felt that familiar drift where finishing a story feels harder than it used to be. 

But here’s the thing: new releases always reignite that spark for me. 

The promise of continuing a series, a fresh premise for a favorite author, or even just the joy of knowing something new is waiting. 

It is always enough to pull me back in. 

So, here are the upcoming releases I am most excited about right now. 

A mix of fantasy, gothic, and contemporary. Even though fantasy romance will always feel like going home, I’m trying to branch out a bit too. 

We Love You, Bunny by Mona Awad

Mona Awad always twists reality into something sharp and uncanny, I can’t resist that. This is the sequel to Bunny.

I cannot wait to see what devious things the Bunnies do and how they tell their side of the story. 

Bunny was an absolutely chaotic story and honestly, if you choose to read it, don’t take it too seriously.

Brimstone by Callie Hart

Brimstone is the sequel to Quicksilver and while I still feel some type of way about Quicksilver, I do need to know what is going to happen next. 

The main character is up there with Diem from Spark of The Everflame on the annoying scale, but I need to know what dumb things she is going to do in the next book. 

I’m hoping that the author took the feedback from the first book and applied it to this one but my hopes aren’t high. 

I have yet to review Quicksilver because to be honest, I think I am just hate reading the series at this point.

Throne of Nightmares by Kerri Maniscalco

I fell into Kerri Maniscalco’s Kingdom of the Wicked series years ago when I first got into fantasy romance. 

I found it atmoshperic and romantic, though it did have its issues, I was beyond excited when Kerri Maniscalco announced her spin off series, Prince of Sin. 

Although I do have a bit of catch up to do with this series as I haven’t yet read Throne of Secrets.

But regardless, I’m excited to jump back into this series and read about another Prince of Sin.

Half His Age by Jeannette McCurdy

This one is far different from the rest, but Jeanette McCurdy’s previous memoir (I’m Glad My Mom Died) had me in a chokehold. 

Now she’s turning her sharp, unflinching eye towards fiction. 

Half His Age is already giving a complicated, messy dynamic and it’s the kind of story that won’t make me comfortable but will make me think. 

I don’t branch out into contemporary as often anymore these days, but I’m looking forward to this one.

Holly by Adalyn Grace

I LOVE the Belladonna series. Gothic, romantic, dripping with atmosphere. 

So when I heard she has a new release on the way, I knew it was going onto my list immediately. 

Holly is a little holiday novella in which we will get to catch up with Signa, Blythe, Death, and Aris as they clean up the spirits in Wisteria Gardens. 

Holly is going to feel like going home for the holidays (& I actually like my family) and I am looking forward to it.

Final Thoughts

I might not fly through all of these the moment they come out, and that’s okay. 

But part of the joy of reading is knowing the stories are waiting for you when you’re ready. 

Just adding these to my TBR has already given me that little thrill again, like pulling a blank over my shoulders on a chilly morning.
