What I’m Loving Lately: Spring 2024 Edition

Sometimes life can feel super stagnant and then I’ll see a video, a post, or an article from another creator talking about what they’ve been up to. I find these so interesting because I usually always end up with some new mini-obsession.

So as winter frost melts away into a lush and blooming Spring, here’s some of what I have been loving lately!

A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L. Jensen

This was such an amazing read! I listened to the audiobook on Spotify and could NOT stop listening. I enjoyed this book so much I am considering diving into The Broken Kingdoms series by Danielle L. Jensen as well.

The Ever Seas series by L.J. Andrews (The Ever King & The Ever Queen)

I LOVE this series and cannot wait for the third book to publish in June of 2024. Erik and Livia has taken me on a whirlwind adventure and their duology in The Ever King and The Ever Queen has only stoked my love for fantasy romance.

I finally watched Saltburn!

Now I understand the jokes behind the Jacob Elordi’s bath water candle

This movie was all sorts of weird and has inspired me to read all of the books inspired by Saltburn! I plan to read all the books in June. Since Saltburn was set during summer break and I want to really immerse myself in the inspo.

Though I won’t be off of work for summer break, but that’s what imaginations are for.

As for the movie itself? I found it a bit lackluster. The setup needed more, the ending fell a bit flat for me but I absolutely loved the aesthetic and so I’m not complaining.

The Bold Type Rewatch

Even though I watch far less tv than I used to, sometimes when I have some down time or specifically do not want to think about content work, I’ll throw on an old show or movie.

Right now I’m (probably on my millionth time) rewatching The Bold Type, the early seasons are my absolute favorite! This is a show that I do not normally complete since I do not like the way the writers changed the characters.

So I make up pretend scenarios in my head and run with it, but it makes me happy! I love the friendship, fashion, talent, and career chats in this show and it always makes me want to go back to my hustling girl boss days. (lol)

With The Tortured Poets Department by Taylor Swift now out and Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter, my ears aren’t really interested in anything else.

As for podcasts, I primarily listen to True Crime Podcasts, but would love to expand my horizons!

My go to True Crime pods are Crime Junkie, Redhanded, and Big Mad True Crime.

What podcasts are you currently obsessed with?

Reminding myself it is okay to rest and slow down. It can be easy to get caught up in the hustle and grind of working a full-time job and being a content creator, but it’s equally as important to rest!

Lately I’ve been reminding myself that it’s okay to slow down and resting is just as important as getting some solid, deep work done is as well.

I’ve also recently installed an app called “Medito” which a guided meditation app and is completely free. No tracking, subscription, cost, etc. I really appreciate this and look forward to continuing the 30 day Mindfulness Challenge to begin building my meditation habit.

I’m thinking of incoporating these type of posts with each season, similarly to my quarterly reset and review! This was so much fun to write about what I am utterly obsessed with lately.

What are you loving this Spring season?
