What I’m Loving Lately: Spring 2025

Instead of rushing into new goals or big to-do lists for the summer, I decided to pause and look back.

The second quarter of the year was a fun quarter. There is so much I look back on and feel good about.

There was so much that made me feel grounded. Little things that helped me reconnect with joy and even some new things I fell in love with.

Here’s my gentle Q2 recap. A soft reflection of all the little things I truly loved from April through June.

Slow Morning Rituals

As the weather began to warm up after what felt like an extremely frigid winter, I started leaning into slower mornings.

Less pressure, more presence.

I found a weekend rhythm I really enjoyed. Waking up slowly (or going back to bed after feeding the cat), sipping on iced tea and getting some reading in.

No rushing, just easing into the day.

Launching a Second Blog

I took the plunge and launched a second blog!

The act of launching the second blog isn’t really all that big of a deal, I’ve launched a few blogs.

But this one feels right. It feels aligned. It feels like I launched it right at the time I needed it.

I’m also launching a newsletter soon and so many more fun parts of that blog that I hope to turn into a fully fledged business.

Finding the right niche at the right time brought me a lot of joy in Q2.

(I’ll talk about it soon here if I haven’t already, pinky promise!)

Creating Structure That Still Feels Gentle

Speaking of launching a second blog, I quickly found myself overwhelmed with the new work needed.

I started using a “3 tasks per day” system during the weekend, with 1 light task per day during the week.

This has helped me so much with staying consistent.

I also refined my calendar with a more sustainable posting schedule and that clarity brought so much ease to my workflow.

Side note: Cynthia In The Wild will now be posting on Thursday’s and Saturday’s!

Reading With No Agenda

After lifting my book buying ban for my birthday, I bought a ton of new books.

I picked up a ton of cozy fantasies and epic romantic fantasies and I cannot wait to dive into them this summer.

But I plan to enjoy them without the pressure of feeling the need to share them online or write reviews on every single one.

As much as I love yapping about books online, I have learned there should be some small boundaries between how much I share.

This is primarily for my sanity.

Prioritizing Real Rest

From screen free evenings to not forcing creativity when I’m tired, I’ve been practicing a gentler kind of discipline.

One that centers not just on output, but also rest.

And not just laying down to scroll on my phone for a few hours, but rather putting my phone away and actually resting.

I feel like Q2 was a time of relearning everything I thought I knew about productivity and letting go of the pressure to do it all.

Farmers Market Strolls

With the end of Q2, brought the return of farmer’s markets!

There are so many fun pop up flea markets and farmer’s markets nearby.

I love making an iced matcha and browsing the farmer’s market.

Raw honey, jams, and fruits (specifically berries) are staples when I go to the farmer’s market.

Cookies are always a must too! I swear chocolate chip cookies just taste better when they come from the farmer’s market.

Final Thoughts

Q2 was fairly busy, but in the best way. I spent a lot of time doing things that brought me joy and starting new projects I cannot wait to update you on!

I’m learning that these small shifts are often the seasons that matter the most, the ones where you quietly find yourself again.

Going into quarter three was rough, but I am looking forward to finishing out the quarter stronger than I began it.

What did you love in Q2? What little things worked well for you? I’d love to hear your reflections in the comments!

It’s been a while, but check out my Summer 2024 edition!
